Session DetailsThis session aims to discuss status and consider possible next steps for the GAC in relation to deliberations and implementation efforts seeking to establish a new WHOIS/Registration Data policy framework taking into account relevant Data Protection law. The GAC will be briefed on latest developments and related policy concerns, in connection with:
- The new Registration Data Consensus Policy (EPDP Phase 1) and ongoing discussion regarding the handling of specific Urgent Request for disclosure of registration data;
- The ongoing operation of a Registration Data Request Service (RDRS), as a proof of concept of a permanent System for Standardized Access/Disclosure (SSAD) per EPDP Phase 2 Policy Recommendations;
- Ongoing discussions related to the accreditation of privacy/proxy services; and considerations for advancing future policy work regarding accuracy of registration data.
