About me
Aaron Promise Mbah is a Digital Innovation Strategist, Digital Policy & Development Specialist. He is the lead strategist at Tlit Innovation Lab, focused on driving digital transformations through research and digital acceleration. He currently leads the overarching impact and growth strategy at the Illmi Children’s Fund (ICF), an education policy focused NGO based in Nigeria as the foundation’s Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. He designs and scales innovative digital products and technologies for education management.
He has experience monitoring and evaluating development projects sponsored by INGOs like the UNFPA, MacArthur Foundation, World Bank, US Mission in Nigeria, Mastercard Foundation etc. In the last 2 years, he has managed over N500,000,000 in multi-year donor-funded projects, reaching over 50,000 beneficiaries across 11 states in Nigeria. Notably among them is the Digitgirl’s and TARM Projects, which aims to promote access to digital skills and literacy for adolescent girls and female teachers in public secondary schools in Nigeria respectively. The project has equipped over 3000 beneficiaries with digital skills and knowledge for the digital economy.
His professional focus centers on the intersection of digital technology and global development, specifically on issues related to global internet governance, technology policy, digital innovation management and digital acceleration. He is a 2024 global youth ambassador for the Internet Society (ISOC), where he advocates for digital rights and inclusion. He is also a member of the Internet Society Accessibility Standing Group, Youth standing group, Internet for Education SIG and the Affordable Internet Access Special Interest Group (SIG), as well as the Youth coalition on internet governance (YCIG). He is also a 2024 OMYV Fellow with the German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Nigeria, and a 2024 Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld, where he is advocating for digital governance & democracy and developing his skills in leading social impact projects respectively.
